Product Features

  • Construction: Typically consists of conductor, insulation layer, matting, armor, and sheathing.
  • Materials: Copper or aluminum conductors, XLPE insulation, steel or aluminum armor, and LSZH sheathing.
  • Voltage Ratings: 600/1000V, 6.35/11kV, and 19/33kV.
  • Applications: Suitable for temperature measurement, signal transmission, and special heating in industries like chemical, metallurgy, and power generation.

Types of Armored Cables

  1. Steel Wire Armored Cable (SWA): Designed for low and medium voltage applications, providing additional mechanical protection.
  2. Steel Tape Armored Cable (STA): Used for low and medium voltage transmission lines, preventing damage from external crushing.
  3. Aluminum Wire Armored Cable (AWA): Non-magnetic, suitable for main power and auxiliary control cables.
  4. Aluminum Tape Armored Cable (ATA): Offers excellent electrical and mechanical properties with strong resistance to chemical corrosion.

Installation and Usage

  • Installation Depth: Recommended at least 450 mm underground, increasing to 600 mm in high-interference areas.
  • Bending Radius: Minimum bending radius is 15D for single-core and 12D for multi-core cables.
  • Temperature Limits: Conductor temperature must not exceed 90°C in long-term use and 250°C during short circuits.

  • Standards: BS5467, BS6622, BS6724, BS7835, BS EN 50267, IEC 60502, BS EN 60332-1-2.
  • Flame Retardance: Complies with EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1-2, and other international standards.
