Product Introduction
The overhead OPGW fiber optic cable of SiTong Cable fiber optic cable manufacturer is placed in the ground of overhead high voltage transmission lines to form a fiber optic communication network on the transmission line. This structure has the dual function of ground line and communication. The wrapping of the metal wire makes the fiber optic ground wire more reliable, stable, and solid. As the overhead ground wire and fiber optic cable are combined into a whole, it shortens the construction cycle and saves the construction cost compared with other ways of fiber optic cable.
Features and Advantages
- Adopting good stainless steel tube production technology, the tube is filled with a water-blocking compound, which can effectively protect the optical fiber.
- Good compactness and high tensile strength.
- Low mutual interference of short-circuit current to the power grid and communication network.
- Similar specifications to common grounding wire, very convenient to erect, and can directly replace the original grounding wire.
Structural Types
-
Aluminum Tube Layer Warping Core Type OPGW
- Optical fiber is located in a PBT plastic loose tube, covered with a seamless aluminum tube.
- Stranded with 1 to 2 layers of monofilament (aluminum-clad steel wire or mixed twist with aluminum alloy wire).
- Features: Good corrosion resistance, uniform material structure, vibration fatigue resistance, minimal effect of short-circuit current on fiber transmission. -
Aluminum Tube Center Tube Type OPGW
- Similar to the layer-warping type but with a smaller cable core.
- Features: Smaller diameter, lighter weight, suitable for old line transformations. -
Aluminum Clad Steel Tube Structure OPGW
- Optical fiber in a sealed stainless-steel tube with an outer aluminum layer.
- Features: Better short-circuit current and lightning resistance, good corrosion resistance. -
Stainless Steel Tube Structure OPGW
- Layer Stranded: Larger diameter, higher tensile strength, balanced mechanical and electrical performance.
- Center Type: Smaller diameter, lighter weight, suitable for high-tension environments.
Applications
- Used on 110KV, 220KV, and 550KV voltage level lines.
- Suitable for new lines due to line blackout and safety factors.
- Easy maintenance and solution for line crossing issues.
Customization
- Available in 2, 4, 6, 12, 24, and 48 cores.
- Competitive pricing.
Accessories
- Iron or aluminum metal fittings for high tension and electrical contact.
- Quality and proper installation impact safe power transmission.
