Description of AAAC conductor
All Aluminum-Alloy Conductors (AAAC) is a concentric-lay-stranded conductors consisting of aluminum-alloy wires available in both single layer and multi-layer constructions.
Compared to AAC and ACSR, AAAC has better strength and weight, better electrical properties, better vertical tensile properties, and better corrosion resistance.
These features have made AAAC more widely recognized and preferred in power distribution and medium and high voltage transmission lines.
Application of AAAC Cable
All Aluminum-Alloy Conductors (AAAC) can be used in Medium, High, and Extra-High voltage transmission lines.
AAAC offers better sag performance due to the high strength-to-weight ratio provided by the aluminum alloy.
In addition, AAAC conductor aluminum provides a higher corrosion resistance than ACSR conductors.
