Product Introduction

Overview

Overhead cables, also known as overhead wires, are generally mostly bundled conductors, and aluminum electrical wires. They are typically used in locations where long-distance coverage is required and where underground cables are not suitable. The distance to be covered as well as the environmental conditions the cable will face and the location are all factors in choosing the right suitable overhead power transmission lines.

Product Features

  • Excellent electrical properties
  • High short circuit resistance
  • Long service life
  • Lightweight
  • Easy installation, operation, and maintenance

Construction

  • Conductor: Aluminum conductor, round stranded compression type (rm)
  • Insulation: XLPE compound, UV-protected
  • Core: 1, 2, or 3 raised longitudinal ribs on the surface

Applications

  • Overhead power lines with a rated voltage 0.6/1kV and below
  • Fixed laying or lead-in line
  • Low-voltage cable distribution

Standards

  • British and French standards
  • American and IEC standards

Medium Voltage ABC Cable (6.5-35KV)

  • Conductor: Class 2 Circular compacted stranded Aluminium
  • Conductor Screen: Extruded semi-conductive layer
  • Insulation: XLPE (Cross-linked polyethylene)
  • Insulation Screen: Extruded semi-conductive layer
  • Metallic Screen: Copper wire screen or copper tape screen
  • Outer Sheath: HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)

Low Voltage ABC Cable (0.6/1kV)

  • Rated voltage: 0.6/1kV
  • Test Voltage: 4kV
  • Operating Temperature: -40°C to +90°C
  • Phase conductor: Class 2 rounded pressed aluminum stranded wire
  • Neutral wire: Class 2 round compacted aluminum stranded wire
  • Insulation: XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) UV resistant
  • Sheath color: Black

Advantages

  • Relatively unaffected by short circuits caused by external forces
  • Can be installed close to trees or buildings
  • Easier installation, no need for crossbars and insulators
  • Significantly improves the safety of workers working on live conductors
